Studio Policies

Enrollment Fee:

A $20.00 enrollment fee is required for each family enrolling a student or students. This fee is per family and not per student. This fee is NOT REFUNDABLE. Students are automatically enrolled for the entire session and notice must be given if lessons are to be discontinued.

Attendance:

There is no substitute for regular attendance to insure progress! Once a student is enrolled in a class, their particular place becomes important to the teacher who arranges dance combinations according to those enrolled. Classes missed due to illness may be made up in duplicate classes designated by the teacher. There is NO REFUND on missed classes.

Tuition: 

Tuition is payable in advance and is due before the first of the month. Tuition is based on a yearly rate and divided evenly among the ten months. Therefore, tuition is the same each month and does not change because of holidays or student absences. A LATE FEE OF $5 IS CHARGED for payments received after the fifth of the month & A LATE FEE OF $10 CHARGED for payments received after the 10th of the month. Late fees will be tallied at the end of the session if not paid when due.
Students will not be allowed to participate in class if their account is more than one month delinquent. Statements are sent only when account is not current by the fifth of the month. There is a $15.00 CHARGE for every returned check. For questions concerning billing call (972)-255-2154 during office hours. For cash payments please ask for a receipt from receptionist. If your last name is different from students, please put their name in lower left corner of check.  Please see our Tuition Rates tab for tuition rates.

Holidays:

The studio observes the following holidays along with the Irving Public Schools, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Break, Spring Break, Easter, Memorial Day. We do not take off for Teacher Professional Development days. On snow days please check our website for updates.

Visitors:

Viewing windows are provided for your convenience. Teacher of Pre-School classes may choose to close blinds.  Due to Covid-19, our lobby is currently limited to pick/up, drop off, and questions only.  We are working on making available online viewing of a select number of classes with private passcodes per class made available to dancers and parents/guardians only.

Dancer Dress Code:

Boys - Solid color tights or shorts & T-Shirts w/ballet, tap, jazz shoes.
Girls - Hair MUST be pulled back neatly. 

PRE-SCHOOL - Leotard, tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes.

TAP - Leotard, tight and /or leggings - replace tap shoe ribbon with black elastic.

JAZZ - Leotard, tights and/or booty shorts/leggings - NO BAGGY CLOTHING - jazz shoes or a lightweight tennis shoe (for Beginners).

HIP HOP: Comfortable dance clothes.  Shirts, leggings, sweatpants, tennis shoes.  Long pants covering the knees are needed for floor work.  No jeans or skirts.

BALLET FOLKLORICO - Black leotard or black shirt, black leggings, Folklorico shoes (can be purchased at mariachiconnection.com, miguelitosusa.com, or through the Baila Boutique) or character shoes, Folklorico practice skirt (instructor will measure all dancers for skirt orders through the Baila Irving costume designer).  Skirts are $45.

BALLET - Solid color leotard, Pink tights, pink ballet shoes (leather or canvas: canvas recommended for the more advanced dancer).  Dance skirts or dresses may be worn at the teachers discretion. Hair pulled up in either a bun or french braid.  No ponytails.

DANCE FORCE: Black leotard, booty shorts/leggings.  Jazz shoes and Tap Shoes.   

 

At Baila Irving, we strongly believe that when students look like dancers and feel like dancers, they perform as dancers.  Coming prepared to class is an integral part of a dancer's growth and development.  Students may be asked to sit out of class if not properly dressed.  Please put names on all clothing and shoes! We are not responsible for lost clothing.

Drop off and Pick Up:

Please pick up your dancers promptly after class. Likewise, we appreciate children arriving no earlier than 10 minutes before their class starts.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):

 

I understand and agree that in participating in any dance class, workshop, camp, rehearsal or performance, there is a possibility of physical injury.  Furthermore, due to the contagious nature of COVID-19 and other common viral and bacterial illnesses, there is a risk of exposure and infection while participation in any public or private events or activities, including those offered by Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy.  I agree to release and hold harmless Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy, including its teachers, dancers, staff members, and facilities from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and in the future. I will not hold Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy liable for any personal injury, personal illness or any personal property damage, which may occur on the premises before, during or after classes or events. Furthermore, I understand that I should be aware of my, and/or my child dancer's physical limitations and agree not to exceed them.  I also understand that it is my responsibility to monitor and be aware of my, and/or my child's physical health status and agree to not to participate in studio activities due to illness or compromised health conditions.  If I am signing this waiver for my child dancer, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and have the right to waive these rights.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO RELEASE:

I authorize and agree that Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy may take and use photographs/videos of me and/or my child for purposes of record keeping, advertising, and marketing. I understand that I do not have any rights to these photographs/videos and will not be compensated for the same.

PRIVACY POLICY:

Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy will ask you to provide information that personally identifies you, your location or your contact information when you enroll in dance classes or purchase dancewear, request information from us, or register on our site for any other reason. We will use your personal information to fulfill your specific request and also to make contact with you related to that request. For example, when you provide personal information to enroll in a dance class, we will use that information to register the student, but we will also use that information to contact you about billing and service matters or if we have a question or dispute with you. If you contact us with questions about our products or services, we will use your contact information to answer your specific questions, but may also use your personal contact information to provide additional materials about our products at a later date.

Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy will access your personal information and/or share it with third parties only for the following purposes: (i) as needed to confirm compliance with the terms of your registration agreement or to enforce our rights under a registration agreement; (ii) if required to do so by law or to comply with legal process; (iii) to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the public; or (iv) in connection with a merger, consolidation or sale of substantially all assets of  Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy.  Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy will not sell your personal information to anyone, except that  Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy may sell all rights to some or all of our products and the sale of your personal information will be part of that sale.

Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy is committed to ensuring the security of your personal information.  Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy stores your personal information in secure operating environments that are not accessible by the general public. Credit card numbers are used only for processing payment. Credit card information is accepted only through a portion of our website that encrypts the credit card information before transmission for your added protection.
